Genetic Variation in Tolerance to Iron Deficiency among Species of Oryza

چکیده
Transplanted rice cultivation has caused groundwater depletion in several regions globally. Direct-seeded under aerobic conditions is a water-saving alternative. However, conditions, iron the soil oxidized from ferrous to ferric forms, which are not easily available crops, resulting iron-deficiency-induced chlorosis (IDIC) and causing significant reductions yield. Cultivated accessions have limited variations IDIC tolerance, while wild Oryza germplasm could be potential source of tolerance. In this study, 313 were evaluated for tolerance at tillering stage 20 IDIC-tolerant lines identified. The twenty showed no signs had high levels content SPAD values, eight cultivated controls exhibited varying degrees symptoms low content. To confirm their selected again subsequent year, they comparable indicating that these efficient uptake utilization, maintained chlorophyll leaf area index. These may useful developing cultivars future studies molecular basis

this experiment was conducted to evaluate the drought tolerance of cultivated (carthamus tinctorius l.) and wild safflower (c. oxyacanthus bieb) populations at research farm of college of agriculture, isfahan university of technology located at lavark-najafabad in 2008. a randomized complete block design with 3 replications was used in each of irrigation levels after 80, 130 and 180 mm evaporat...
متن کاملPrevalence of Iron Deficiency Anemia Among Pregnant Women Referred to Fardis Health Centers in 2018
Background and objectives: Anemia is the most common disorder during pregnancy and approximately 75% of it is related to iron deficiency anemia. Decreased hemoglobin levels increase premature delivery and can lead to intrauterine growth restriction. This study was performed to determine the rate of iron deficiency anemia in pregnant women referring to health centers in Fardis. Methods: In this ...

Iron deficiency anemia is one of the most common nutritional problems during pregnancy. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of education based on health belief model to promote preventive behaviors against iron deficiency anemia among pregnant women. The study was performed on 80 pregnant women that were randomized equally into the experimental and control groups. A self-administer...
متن کاملGenetic variation and association analysis of some important traits related to grain in rice (Oryza sativa L.) germplasm
The identification of genomic loci involved in control of quantitative traits receives growing attention in plant molecular breeding. The present study was carried out to evaluate the genetic variability among 48 rice genotypes and determine the genomic regions associated with ten grain related important traits. A total number of 63 alleles were detected by 18 selected SSR markers from differen...
متن کاملGenetic Variation Among Salvia Species Based on Sequence-Related Amplified Polymorphism (SRAP) Marker
In this study, SRAP molecular maker approach was performed to investigate genetic diversity in the Salvia genus. A total of 205 DNA bands were produced from PCR amplification of 11 Salvia species and populations using 25 selective primer combinations, of which 204 polymorphic genetic loci accounted. The total number of amplified fragments ranged from 3 to 15. The genetic similarities of 11 coll...
